Happy Birthday Emmie!!

Today Emmie turns 2!! I can't believe she's already 2. I can't imagine our lives without her. She's such a sweet little girl (most the time). We had her Birthday party on Saturday and it was fun to see her play with all her friends. She got spoiled rotten and got more gifts than anyone needs. She loves them all but the dolls, kitchen and kitchen accessories where the biggest hit. She's with her Granny and G-daddy today in Austin - I know she'll have a great day, but we miss her!

Snow Day

On Friday we had snow in Houston. At first Emmie wasn't so sure of the white stuff but I think it had more to do with the multiple layers of clothing she was wearing that she wasn't used to.

Christmas Picture Time

Today Chris met up with his mom and sister so Emmie and Andrew could have their picture taken for Pamma's X-mas card. Erin was nice enough to scan some so I could share them with you all. I like the 2nd one the best. Afterwards Emmie and Andrew played at Pamma's house and apparently had every toy out and ran around chasing each other and having a ton of fun!!

Now I need to get busy with our Christmas cards...

Happy Halloween!

Emmie had a great Halloween. She went trick or treating around the block and was very into it. I didn't expect her to get the idea but I guess when it comes to candy she'll figure it out quickly. I loaded more pictures on Picasa you can get to them on the link on the right.

Baby Hanvey # 2

Here's a picture of Baby H at 8 weeks. The little one is starting to behave better so I'm feeling better too.

Jarrett

In September my friend Jarrett and I met in Austin for a long weekend at Barton Creek Resort. We chilled, took golf lessons, enjoyed the spa and pool. The original plan was to party it up like we did in Grad School but with me being 8 weeks pregnant and not feeling 100% we stuck to checking out our local food favorites and checking out a new ones too (Texadelphia, Hula Hut, Taco Shack, mom's cooking, Flip Happy). Despite the non-night life weekend we still enjoyed ourselves.

Visitors

Just recently Emmie's great Uncle Michael, his fiance Lisa, Lisa's Mom, GiGi and Auntie Mavis came for a vist. We all had a great time catching up.

Emmie's Going to be a Big Sister

For those who haven't already heard Emmie is going to be a big sister in late April. At this point I think it's going to be a boy. This little one is wearing me out and hopefully now that the 1st trimester is almost done I will start feeling a little better and have more energy.

Julia's Birthday

Last week our neighbor's little girl turned 1 and to celebrate they got a big bouncy castle/water slide. I think the adults had more fun than the kids. Emmie wasn't sold on the concept, at first she really didn't like it but a little later she went down a little more willingly.

Happy Birthday Steve

Last night we went to Kingwood to meet our friends for dinner for Steve's Birthday. We are still learning the features on our new camera so most our pictures didn't turn out except the ones when the outdoor lights where on. Hopefully someone else posts some on their blog that I can download for our digital records. Emmie had a great time playing in the sandbox and eatting her cup cake. I have no idea where she learned that you just dive in head first but she certainly didn't hold back. She was still sleeping when I left at 8:30 this morning so that's a sign of a fun evening. The grown ups had fun catching up too!

Lost Control

Ok so I'm at least 99.9% to blame but we have lost control of our living room with Emmie friendly items. Damn Wal-Mart for having a special on the Barbie play house/tent. I will also admit that I secretly wish I was a kid again so I could fully enjoy this. I purchases this for Emmie and she has turned it into her little home in less than 1 evening. She takes Michael (our nanny's baby) into it her "house" and Bolt is watching out for them (although facing the wrong way). I'm sure we will have more pictures to post of her new "house" with her in them, but for now you just get to see our transformed living room.

Bolt

Emmie really likes Bolt, she watched the movie without sound on both flights to and from Amsterdam so when we got back Chris and I figured we should watch it with sound. Well she enjoys it just as much with sounds. Maria got her a large stuffed bolt that she likes to ride and play with too. Here she is watching the movie with Bolt.
